DESCRIPTION:In my talk I will discuss the the modelling of polar stratosph
 eric clouds (PSCs) in the UM-UKCA model.  Using idealised model studies\, 
 the impact of PSCs on the depletion of polar ozone and the resulting impac
 ts on southern hemisphere circulation and climate is assessed.  The impact
  of PSCs on other trace species\, such as the partitioning of Cly and NOy\
 , is also assessed.  Finally\, I will explore how stratospheric chemistry\
 , particularly in the polar regions\, responds to increases in stratospher
 ic water vapour.
