DESCRIPTION:London Bridge is one of few secular institutions to possess co
 mprehensive accounts in an almost unbroken sequence from the fourteenth ce
 ntury to the present day. This paper explores the social world of the Brid
 ge\, and how the economic activities of its tenants exploited the opportun
 ities of this unique location\, providing new insight into the commercial 
 world of the late medieval City of London.
