 arke.\n\nThere will be a reception afterwards.\n\nCharles Clarke was Secre
 tary of State for Education and Skills\, 2002-2004\, and then Home Secreta
 ry until 2006. He now holds Visiting Professorships at the University of E
 ast Anglia\, Lancaster University\, and University College London\, and wo
 rks with educational organisations internationally. He has recently publis
 hed ‘The Too Difficult Box’\, an analysis of the problems which need t
 o be overcome in promoting change.\n\nSave the date. There will two furthe
 r lectures in this series at the same time and place: Brendan Simms on Wat
 erloo (11 May) and John Bew on Castlereagh and the Congress of Vienna (21 
 October). \n
