DESCRIPTION:I will begin with an introduction to preprojective algebras\, 
 explaining their description in terms of quivers and relations and in term
 s of Auslander-Reiten theory.  Then I will introduce higher preprojective 
 algebras\, as studied by Iyama\, Herschend\, and Oppermann.  I will talk a
 bout joint work with Iyama\, which considers when and how higher preprojec
 tive algebras of Koszul algebras can be described by quivers with superpot
 entials.  Depending on time\, I may also talk about projective resolutions
  of simple modules for these algebras.
