DESCRIPTION:Historically\, it was notoriously difficult to construct a the
ory of massive gravity (mGR) and only in the last decade or so have some o
f its subtle facets become well understood. Many of the peculiarities\, p
roblems and features of mGR stem from the longitudinal mode which utilizes
higher derivative "galileon" interactions. Galileons have many interestin
g properties and I will start by discussing their interpretation as Goldst
one modes arising from the spontaneous breaking of spacetime symmetries an
d their appearance as Wess-Zumino terms in the coset construction\, the fa
miliar tool for constructing EFTs for systems displaying spontaneously bro
ken symmetries. Following this\, I will use the same coset construction t
ools to build the full\, ghost free dRGT theory of mGR.
