DESCRIPTION:Many industrial operations produce sludge as a main by-product
  or waste.  For example sewage sludge from water companies\, mine water sl
 udge from mining and quarrying\, and drilling waste from the oil and gas s
 ector.  This talk is a collection of examples on sludge treatment techniqu
 es including phyto-conditioning\, bio-piles\, reed beds and electrokinetic
 s.  The characteristics of the sludge\, the scale and performance of the f
 acilities\, the regulatory requirements and the clients’ expectations wi
 ll be discussed.
