DESCRIPTION:Armin Raznahan\, MD\, PhD\, is an Assistant Clinical Investiga
 tor within the Child Psychiatry Branch. He currently heads (i) an ongoing 
 longitudinal neuroimaging study of typical brain development\, and (ii) an
 alyses of atypical brain organization in genetically-defined groups at inc
 reased risk for neuropsychiatric impairments. By combining these two stran
 ds of research\, Dr. Razahan and his colleagues hope to advance biomarker 
 discovery for complex neurodevelopmental disorders of childhood onset. Cli
 nically\, Dr. Raznahan works as a Child Psychiatrist within the NIH Clinic
 al Center Psychiatry Consultation Liaison Service. He has a degree in Medi
 cine and a PhD in Biological Psychiatry from King’s College University L
 ondon\, UK. He has completed residencies in pediatrics and psychiatry\, an
 d a specialist fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Maudsl
 ey Hospital\, London\, UK.
