DESCRIPTION:The Boltzmann-Nordheim equation rules the dynamics of rarefied
  bosonic gases from a mesoscopic viewpoint. One of its main interest is th
 at it encodes the process leading to the creation of the Bose-Einstein con
 densat. In this talk I introduce some basics of kinetic theory with a part
 icular focus on the Boltzmann equation\, to which the Boltzmann-Nordheim e
 quation is a quantic version. I formally discuss the creation of the Bose-
 Einstein condensate and present the recent results on existence and unique
 ness in the spatially homogeneous case.\n
