DESCRIPTION:A Winton teatime discussion hosted by John Mullett\, founder o
 f Sustainable OneWorld Technologies\, who will explore the potential for b
 iogas and fertlilzer production using organic waste\, with practical examp
 les of his work in deploying systems in Africa.\n\nAbstract: Our objective
  is to find new approaches for tackling the issues of sanitation\, fuel po
 verty and soil fertility. A brief outline of the scope of these issues wil
 l be presented. Development work will be presented which outlines how the 
 natural process of anaerobic digestion can be harnessed in a novel way usi
 ng some modern materials. Information about the practical demonstrations a
 lready undertaken will be presented and a brief pointer given towards the 
 nature of future developments which are urgently needed.\n\nBio: Dr John A
  J Mullett is a founder of Sustainable OneWorld Technologies (SOWTech)\, a
  Cambridge based Community Interest Company. SOWTech was established to br
 ing innovative waste treatment options to the development of the Global So
 uth. John has a PhD in Industrial Studies and Applied Biology and has work
 ed in the organic waste industry for over 30 years. Jobs have included int
 ernational Head of Organic Waste Recycling for Waste Management Internatio
 nal plc\, a company with operations in 28 countries and director of a Buil
 d Own Operate waste management company. He has also been responsible for n
 umerous innovations in the field including enclosed composting technologie
