DESCRIPTION:Louise Whitaker\, Ethical Marketing Manager for the UK's large
 st independent distributor of Fairtrade produce to the food service sector
 \, will be coming to the University of Cambridge during Fairtrade Fortnigh
 t to share her recent experiences with Ugandan coffee growing communities 
 and answer any questions about the Fairtrade Mark.\n\nPeros was set up in 
 the year 2000 to fill the growing need to supply Fairtrade goods to cateri
 ng services. Up until then\, the market had been entirely shifted towards 
 consumers\, making it very difficult for the food service sector to offer 
 Fairtrade beverages. They are a company still firmly committed to Fairtrad
 e\, ethical trading and sustainability. \n\nLouise has recently returned f
 rom visiting coffee growing communities based around the foothills of Moun
 t Elgon in Eastern Uganda. Louise will talk about her recent trip and how 
 Fairtrade  can support and help coffee growers to adapt to the threat of c
 limate change and how coffee growing in these communities can empower wome
 n.\n\nFairtrade tea\, coffee and biscuits will be available from 5pm.
