DESCRIPTION:We review recent results in the theory of functions and number
 s in\n\\phi4 theory. We will give an introduction to the following topics:
 \ngraphical functions --- conformal quantum field theory functions on the\
 ncomplex plane\,\ngeneralized single-valued hyperlogarithms --- generaliza
 tions of\nhyperlogarithms which are ubiquitous in graphical functions\,\n\
 \phi4 periods --- renormalization scheme independent contributions to\nthe
  \\phi4 beta function\, and\nthe Galois coaction which gives important inf
 ormation on the structure\nof \\phi4 periods.
