DESCRIPTION:Landau–Ginzburg (LG) models play a central role in mirror sy
 mmetry. In\nparticular they allow a proof of mirror symmetry for Calabi--Y
 au\nhypersurfaces and a new line of attack to higher genus invariants\; we
  will\nreport a recent successful approach in genus 1 in collaboration wit
 h\nYongbin Ruan and Dimitri Zvonkine. We also show a generalization of LG\
 nmodels\, a hybrid model playing an analogue role for Calabi-Yau complete\
 nintersections. This is an occasion to revisit the definition of LG models
 \nand to streamline and generalize previous proofs\, work in in collaborat
 ion\nwith Jan Nagel.\n
