DESCRIPTION:*Abstract:* The web is changing. Web servers are dealing with 
 the\ndynamic web\, delivering rich applications to clients\, where the\nbr
 owsers are increasing their complexity to handle them. Both parties\nmight
  have good reasons to not trust each other\, creating interesting\nsecurit
 y challenges. This talk explores information-flow tracking\ntechnologies f
 or a safer web. We tackle practical problems while\nproviding formal guara
 ntees for our solutions. We investigate the\ncompromise between security a
 nd flexibility for protecting\nconfidentiality and integrity in web scenar
 ios. Furthermore\, using\npurely dynamic techniques\, we implement our ide
 as to demonstrate their\napplicability.\n\n*Bio:* Luciano Bello is a last-
 year PhD student at Chalmers University\nof Technology (Gothenburg\, Swede
 n). Under the supervision of Andrei\nSabelfeld\, he is studying how inform
 ation-flow control techniques can\nimprove the security of the web. He is 
 also a free software developer\nand an enthusiastic tango dancer.
