DESCRIPTION:Yuliya Yurchenko is a Lecturer in International Business at th
 e University of Greenwich\, and an Associate at the Centre for Global Poli
 tical Economy at Sussex. Her PhD was on Ukraine's post-1991 politico-econo
 mic transformation and the role of transnational and emerging domestic cap
 ital.\n\nThe paper will discuss the role and locus of capital in Ukraine's
  post-2013 internal violent confrontations. It will outline the rise of th
 e oligarchs’ economic and political power and the ways they have influen
 ced Ukraine's foreign relations. The paper will also explain how and why t
 he oligarchs are linked to political factions and sustain fighting units i
