DESCRIPTION:Geometric Algebra is a unifying mathematical framework: it fol
lows the interpretation of Clifford's own algebra as given by David Hesten
es. Here\n we will take Conformal Geometric Algebra (CGA) to indicate a 5D
space with a null structure from which we are able to model Euclidean sp
ace. One of the most attractive features of the CGA is the covariant appro
ach to geometry that it provides. Rotations\, translations\, inversions an
d dilations are all 'rotors' in this algebra\, taking the form of an expon
entiated bivector. The talk will outline the CGA and show how it can be us
ed in some real computer science and engineering applications.
