DESCRIPTION:Social media are frequently rife with rumours\, and the study\
 nof rumour conversational aspects can provide valuable knowledge about how
  rumours evolve over time and are discussed\nby others who support or deny
  them. In this work\, we\npresent a new annotation scheme for capturing ru
 mour-bearing conversational threads\, as well as the crowdsourcing\nmethod
 ology used to create high quality\, human annotated\ndatasets of rumourous
  conversations from social media. The\nrumour annotation scheme is validat
 ed through comparison\nbetween crowdsourced and reference annotations. \n\
