 rhaps visit Milton Country Park's own orchard while there.\n\nThe talk wil
 l be preceded by the brief AGM of the Friends of Milton Country Park\, and
  followed by refreshments (provided by the committee).\n\nThe title of thi
 s talk is taken from an old Welsh proverb\, which sums up the spirit that 
 inspires the planting of any orchard\, particularly community orchards. Jo
 anna will be explaining the background to her own community orchard projec
 t at Trumpiongton\, taking us through the stages of its creation\, plantin
 g and maintenance. She will be drawing on examples from orchards old and n
 ew to celebrate the emotional and cultural bond that we have with apples a
 nd orchards. The talk will open out into a discussion on how to care for n
 ewly planted and established trees in our own gardens and in community sit
 es. \n\nThere is a car-parking charge of £2 at the Park.
