DESCRIPTION:It has been proven that\, compared with the silicon-based coun
 terparts\, devices fabricated using III-V semiconductor materials manifest
  higher performance in some electronic characteristics. We first design a 
 multiplexer on a GaAs/AlGaAs HEMT. Quantum multiplexer exhibits potential 
 for doing a statistical research on quantum physics with large numbers of 
 on-chip devices. We plan to fabricate the multiplexer based on an InGaAs q
 uantum well heterostructure. The InGaAs material has a large g-factor\, sm
 all effective mass and strong spin-orbit coupling\, and therefore exhibits
  many unique quantum phenomena. We expect to apply the InGaAs-based multip
 lexer to explore spin-orbit interaction related quantum effects\, like to 
 discover the mysterious Majorana fermions.
