DESCRIPTION:Charles Hampden-Turner is going to share his observations and
thoughts about Chinese economic development and its cultural roots and ada
ptations. He believes the Chinese progresses can be recognised as the tri
umph of stakeholder capitalism and the joining of the cultural contexts of
East and West. So\, we need pay more attentions to the emerging phenomen
on.\n\n"Charles has presented eight times about the similar topic at the S
aid School to the China Construction Bank and on six occasions scored 5 ou
t of 5. He will show original data on the rise of China and the values be
hind it. This includes the Taoism of Yin Yang\, and the 'mirror-image hypo
thesis' whereby each culture reverses the preferences of the other and the
capacity to switch between cultural contexts is the key. Also crucial is
the return of the Chinese Diaspora\, even in 1979 the third largest econom
y in the world when added together. These compatriots brought Western conc
 epts with them."\n
