DESCRIPTION:In this talk I will discuss the design of a complex event proc
essing language for pervasive computing applications. \nThe language is to
be used as part of a framework for detecting complex events in heterogene
ous sensor networks.\nProcessing is performed in a distributed fashion in
order to\nreduce communications. Simple expressions are computed\nat senso
r nodes\, but more complex expressions are deployed at base stations. New
subscriptions must thus be analysed to\ndetermine how to safely deploy the
 m in an optimal fashion.
