DESCRIPTION:*Abstract:*\nThere is a strong demand for a secure cryptograph
ic platform in cloud\nand mobile computing to support variety of sensitive
applications. When\nused in large scale distributed environments\, one of
the options is to\nprovide cryptography operations as a service (CaaS) in
stead of computed\non end-user device. It is crucial for CaaS to be truste
d by its users as\nthe cryptographic material is accessed and can be compr
omised. One\noption is to execute sensitive operations inside a trusted ha
rdware\nmodule (HSM) so even platform operator is not able to access used\
ncryptographic material. Current HSMs provides reasonable computational\np
erformance for closed centralised systems (e.g.\, top HSMs can perform\nup
to 9\,000 RSA 1024b signatures per second). But implementing CaaS for\ndi
fferent operations with distinct keys submitted by many users in\nparallel
with currently available HSMs comes with a number of\nchallenges\, though
.\nThe talk will summarize existing challenges and introduce alternative\n
architecture capable to host large number of applications\, cryptographic\
nmaterial and concurrent users. The experience obtained from building\nsuc
h architecture will be also discussed.\n\n*Bio:*\n
