DESCRIPTION:30 June – 1 July 2015\n\nAn international conference on the
 future of Polish-Ukrainian relations.\n\nSince 1989\, Poland and Ukraine h
ave developed a constructive political relationship that may stand as one
of the most remarkable political and social achievements of recent Europea
n history. Yet hopes for the future have also been intertwined with more d
ifficult discussions of an often tumultuous shared past.\n\nAt this confer
ence\, we wish to consider how this delicate negotiation between past and
future will continue to develop in circumstances of increasing regional in
stability after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. In this broad context of e
xternal threat\, we propose to re-examine the foundation of strong Polish-
Ukrainian relations\, which have become crucially important for Europe’s
future.\n\nBy bringing together scholars and stakeholders from diverse in
tellectual and political spheres\, we hope to cultivate an open exchange o
f ideas that will yield coherent new pathways for the future development o
 f Polish-Ukrainian relations.\n\nConference speakers include:\n\nŁukasz A
