  Science\, University of Bristol

DESCRIPTION:Power analysis attacks allow extracting keys from cryptographi
c devices with low effort. While so called differential power analysis att
acks assume only very limited knowledge about the device under attack\, \n
template-based power analysis attacks assume much more knowledge. Naturall
y\, this leads to better attacks. This talk will survey existing power ana
lysis techniques briefly\, but will have its emphasis on template-based po
 wer analysis attacks.
