DESCRIPTION:What happened to scholarship in medicine\, has science disappe
 ared\, and where is the intellectual discipline of questioning\, hypothesi
 s testing and experimentation? And\, in parallel\, what has happened to th
 e library\, the research paper\, and academic dialogue? This will not be a
  polished powerpoint tour de force but a bumpy ride through the potholes o
 f our discipline and a critical look at the way we communicate.  And\, hop
 efully\, not too prim. Yes\, I will tell you the secrets of publication an
 d how to make your paper appeal to an editor but\, I hope to leave you wit
 h more questions than answers\, thinking differently about how you present
  your research and trying to anticipate future developments in medical com
