DESCRIPTION:For a regular variety over an imperfect field\, we study the b
 ehavior of the canonical bundle under purely inseparable base changes. We 
 obtain some\napplications over algebraically closed fields of positive cha
 racteristic: a general fiber of a Mori fiber space is rationally chain con
 nected\, and a\nK-trivial fibration with non-normal fibers is uniruled lik
 e quasi-elliptic fibrations.
