DESCRIPTION:The hippocampus contains Nobel prize-winning place cells\, the
parietal cortex contains exquisitely turn-selective neurons and the prefr
ontal cortex contains all-over-the-place cells. How are these different f
lavours of spatial code integrated over the course of learning to inform b
ehaviour?\n\nI will describe analyses of simultaneous recordings of networ
k activity in rat hippocampus\, prefrontal and parietal cortex\, highlight
ing the roles of coordinated oscillations during wake and sleep in binding
different features of the cognitive map.\n
