DESCRIPTION:We will discuss the special geometry of N = 2 supergravity in 
 D = 5\, 4\, 3 with either Lorentzian or Euclidean spacetime signature\, an
 d how these geometries are related to one-another via dimensional reductio
 n over time. As an application\, we will see how new soliton solutions can
  be constructed by lifting instanton solutions in lower dimensions.
