DESCRIPTION:I will discuss the Maximum Likelihood Estimators (MLEs) of log
 -concave and s-concave densities on IR and IR^d\, and review some of the p
 roperties of these estimators. both good and bad.     \n\nI will also disc
 uss recent results for the Rényi divergence estimators proposed by Koenke
 r and Mizera (2010).   \n\nBased on joint work with Charles Doss\, Qiyang 
 (Roy) Han\, and Arseni Seregin.
