 stuff) - Baojiu Li (Durham)

DESCRIPTION:Some of the strongest constraints on modified gravity theories
by cosmology come from their effects on the propagation of light\, exampl
es of which include weak gravitational lensing\, the integrated Sachs-Wolf
e effect and so on. I will show some recent results of constraining gravi
ty using these observables\, and use those to motivate the necessity of a
code that can do ray tracing on the fly of numerical simulations. Then I w
ill describe a recent attempt to develop such a code\, its algorithms and
implementation\, and some of its tests. Potential applications of the code
\, both in and out of the standard paradigm\, will be mentioned briefly.
