DESCRIPTION:In this talk we will present an analysis of a unitarily invari
 ant random matrix model with a polynomial potential that is a cubic pertur
 bation of the standard Gaussian case (GUE). The asymptotic study of the co
 rresponding partition function and free energy can be carried out using or
 thogonal polynomials defined on suitable contours in the complex plane.\n\
