bit (SP Workshop) - Miss Egle Tylaite\, University of Cambridge\, Semicond

DESCRIPTION:In this workshop I will discuss the prospects of induced doubl
e quantum dots to improve the relaxation and coherence time of electron sp
in qubit compared to the current record in doped GaAs heterostructures. Th
e absence of intentional dopants is expected not only to decrease the numb
er of small angle scattering events\, (which is observed as an increase in
mobility and the fact that lower carrier densities may be \nachieved)\, b
ut it also is expected to reduce RTS (Random Telegraph Signals) noise whic
h would be beneficial for more accurate current measurements. I will prese
nt the progress towards making an undoped \nquantum dots\, getting to the
last electron\, as well as the challenges of using fast measurement techni
 ques - radio frequency reflectometry.\n
