CONTACT:Dr Fernando Gonzalez-Zalba
DESCRIPTION:The conference is jointly organized by the FP7 FET EC projects
MULTI (multivalued and parallel computing at the molecular scale) and TOL
OP (low power information processing in solid state devices). Several topi
cs related to CMOS technology as well as the implementation of complex log
ic operations in molecular media will be covered : \n-	emerging steep swit
ch devices & CMOS technologies \n-	issues related to the energy-dissipatio
n of CMOS devices and circuits\n-	optical addressing of molecular machines
through state-of-the-art nonlinear ultrafast optical techniques\n-	electr
ical and optical addressing of atomic and molecular states in the solid-st
ate\n-	complex DNA-based biomolecular architectures for complex logic oper
ations \n\nIn addition to the speakers and the partners of the two project
s\, attendees include members of the scientific boards of the projects\, g
raduate students\, postdocs\, younger researchers working in the field of
molecular logic and solid-state devices. \n\nGiven the multidisciplinarity
of the subjects covered\, stimulating discussions will be encouraged by a
  flexible time table. \n\nSpeakers:\n\n\nAbraham Nitzan\, Tel-Aviv\nKenji
