DESCRIPTION:This presentation assesses the achievements and failures of 13
  nobel laureates of African descent as Africa and its diaspora commemorate
 d 50 years of Pan-Africanism in 2013. Lessons are drawn for peacemaking\, 
 civil rights\, socioeconomic justice\, environmental protection\, nuclear 
 disarmament\, and women's rights: all struggles  in which the laureates ha
