DESCRIPTION:The subject of quantum computing represents an extraordinary s
 ynthesis of ideas from quantum physics and computational complexity theory
  in theoretical computer science. It promises the possibility of exponenti
 ally enhanced computing power and novel modes of communication. It also gi

 . In this talk we will introduce the subject and discuss some examples inc
