DESCRIPTION:Recent policy debates about Nanotechnology have included discu
ssion of the potential benefits for people in developing countries\, from
water purification to cheap solar power. This seminar will focus on one re
cent experiment in public engagement\, conducted in Harare in July 2006\,
which sought to hear and amplify the voices of people in developing countr
ies. The aim of this seminar is to share findings with scientists and soci
al scientists\, and to continue the conversation about how to make technol
 ogy work for the poor.
