DESCRIPTION:Mammalian immune systems evolved under the impact of constant 
 pressure from micro-organisms and parasites.   Exposure to infectious dise
 ases has altered dramatically in resource rich settings over the past cent
 ury.  Infectious and parasitic diseases still constitute a major burden in
  Africa\, but this is beginning to change.  \n\nThis seminar will discuss 
 studies in Uganda that highlight the paradox that worm infections may be b
 oth good and bad for your health.\n
