DESCRIPTION:Accurate and robust theoretical predictions are essential in o
rder to perform a reliable interpretation of measurements at the LHC. A ma
jor theoretical tool to provide such predictions is perturbative QCD.\nIn
this seminar\, the subtraction scheme STRIPPER is presented: A fully gener
al framework to perform calculations at next-to-next-to-leading order (NNL
 O) in perturbative QCD.\nAfter the basic idea of the scheme has been sketc
hed\, its implementation into a Monte Carlo event generator is outlined. A
first application to top-quark pair production at the LHC is discussed an
d results for differential distributions at NNLO are presented.
