DESCRIPTION:*Abstract:*\nOver the last 7 years\, Android has become the wo
 rld's most popular operating system. For over a billion people\, Android i
 s the primary (or only) way to connect to the internet and the rest of the
  world. People trust Android with their most sensitive and personal inform
 ation and communications. Building and maintaining that trust requires a w
 ide range of security technologies\, as well as a team of people who are f
 lexible and creative.\n\nAdrian will provide a brief overview of these tec
 hnologies and the Android security team before opening a discussion into o
 ngoing research projects and development efforts on Android security.  He'
 s also promised to talk a bit about what it's like to work at Google on th
 e Android team. \n*This security seminar will revolve around a discussion 
 so will be more akin to a Friday meeting.*\n\n*Bio:*\nAdrian Ludwig - Lead
  Engineer\, Android Security @ Google.\nAdrian Ludwig is the lead engineer
  for Android security at Google. In this role\, he is responsible for the 
 security of the Android platform and Google's applications and services fo
 r Android. Prior to joining Google\, Ludwig held technical leadership posi
 tions at Joyent\, Adobe\, Macromedia\, @stake and the Department of Defens
 e. Ludwig has a B.A. in Mathematics from Williams College and an MBA from 
 the University of California\, Berkeley.\n
