DESCRIPTION:This talk will present a new concept we have been working on c
alled the "Indefinite Information System" (IdIS)\, which does not assume t
hat the data it presents is 100% correct\, but aims to give a more realist
ic representation of reality. It is potentially useful to keep track of an
d help to mitigate data quality accuracy errors that different types of or
ganisations face\, we call these data misalignments. We have been testing
this idea in the context of a warehousing organisation\, and can show a de
monstration of how the IdIS\, when attached to a warehouse management syst
em\, can help to keep better track of the actual locations of products on
 the shelves.
