DESCRIPTION:The Behavioural Insights Team (BIT) is a social purpose compan
 y. BIT started life inside 10 Downing Street as the world’s first govern
 ment institution dedicated to the application of behavioural sciences. Wor
 k focuses on:\n\nmaking public services more cost-effective and easier for
  citizens to use\;\nimproving outcomes by introducing a more realistic mod
 el of human behaviour to policy\; \nand wherever possible\,\nenabling peop
 le to make ‘better choices for themselves’\n\nBIT projects involve red
 esigning public services and drawing on ideas from the behavioural science
  literature\, with a focus on empirical testing of new ideas.
