DESCRIPTION:The Syria series\n\nThis forthcoming seminar series aims to pr
 ovide the latest data and critical insights from those working on the Syri
 a crisis as policy-makers\, politicians\, journalists and humanitarian off
 icials. The first seminar will be given by Martin Chulov – the Guardian
 ’s award winning Middle East Correspondent.\n\n\nSyria: where to now?\n\
 nMartin who covers the Middle East for the Guardian\, won the Orwell prize
  for journalism in 2015. He has reported and lived in the region for the p
 ast decade writing for the Guardian in Iraq (2008-2010) and now currently 
 in Beirut. Between 2005-2008 he was the Middle East correspondent for the 
 Australian (Australia’s national newspaper) where he won numerous nation
 al awards.\n\n\nIn this timely and topical seminar\, he will discuss his e
 xperiences reporting on the conflict in Syria\, Iraq and the rise of the I
 slamic State. The talk will address the current state of affairs and consi
 der future possibilities and scenarios for regional and foreign government
