DESCRIPTION:In this presentation Linda will give an overview of material f
 or a forthcoming book by the same name.  The book and the presentation tal
 k about visions and goals for creating a more peaceful society and world\,
  and non-violent means for creating this social–political change\, inclu
 ding community peace wheels. She will present findings from a peacebuildin
 g process in Los Angeles/Southern California\, which brought together diff
 erent sectors of the local community to engage with a twelve-sector commun
 ity peace wheel.  Events included:  a Peace Convergence process\; a monthl
 y Culture of Peace Educational Series\; a Culture of Peace Recognition Cel
 ebration\; an edited book\; and important peace awards\, declarations\, an
 d actions.
