DESCRIPTION:Obstacle problems are an important class of free-boundary\npro
 blems.\nThe general setting is the following: Given an unknown pair $(u\,\
 \Omega)$\nwhere $u$ solves a ``nice'' equation inside $\\Omega$\nand has s
 ome behavior across $\\partial\\Omega$\, understand the regularity of\nbot
 h $u$ and $\\partial \\Omega$.\nThe Signorini problem\, also known as the 
 ``lower dimensional obstacle\nproblem’’\, is a classical problem in th
 is area.\nWhile the regularity of the solution is now well understood\, th
 e regularity\nof the free boundary is a much more challenging questions.\n
 In this talk I’ll give an overview of the problem and present some recen
 t\nresults on this topic.
