DESCRIPTION:We start the talk with a short introduction to homological sta
 bility. For the example of moduli spaces of high dimensional manifolds we 
 will see a way to relate this geometric setting to an algebraic one. Using
  a generalisation on the algebraic site we can then improve the homologica
 l stability theorem\, which in the version proven by Galatius--Randal-Will
 iams just holds for simply-connected manifolds\, to a much larger class of
  manifolds.
