DESCRIPTION:The lecture steps through the development of the science of ra
 diochemistry since its discovery around the beginning of the twentieth cen
 tury to the modern age.  The emphasis of the talk is on how the developmen
 ts in radiochemistry through the decades enabled it to address a variety o
 f areas\, and how it is to be used to address the latest challenge offered
  by the need for of nuclear forensics.
