DESCRIPTION:Certain classes of supersymmetric Yang-Mills (SYM) theories\ni
ncluding the well known N=4 SYM\, that takes part in the AdS/CFT\ncorrespo
ndence\, can be formulated on a Euclidean spacetime lattice using\nthe tec
hniques of exact lattice supersymmetry. In this talk I will\nprovide the c
onstructions of such theories and describe how great ideas\nsuch as topolo
 gical field theories\, Dirac-Kahler fermions\, geometric\ndiscretisation a
ll come together to create lattice SYM theories that are\nexact-supersymme
tric\, gauge-invariant\, local and doubler-free. Then I\nmove on to discus
s some recent results that validate the gauge/gravity\nduality conjecture
 though lattice simulations.
