 n after Tuesday's talk from Sir David Spiegelhalter. . \n\nSir David is th
 e Winton Professor of the Public Understanding of Risk here in the Cambrid
 ge Statistical Lab. \nHis work focuses on using quantitative methods to de
 al with risk and uncertainity in the lives of the individual and society.\
 nSir David has also worked in medical statistics with an emphasis on Bayes
 ian methods\; he has worked on clinical trials and consulted for pharmacol
 ogical companies. \nSir David is working on an Understanding Uncertainity 
 project\, for which he runs the Cambridge Coincidences Collection: he is c
 ollecting coinicdences and analysing them for how surprising they are\, to
  discover more about the chances of coincidence.\n\nSir David really makes
  statistics exciting\, so this talk is a must for everyone!\n\nAs usual it
