DESCRIPTION:Chemical sensors can detect the presence and monitor the conce
 ntration of chemical compounds.\n\nThere is a need to measure all sorts of
  chemicals around us\; there is a need to know the quality of the air we b
 reathe\, industries need to monitor chemical processes to make them more e
 fficient\, and clinicians want to measure the chemicals we emit in our bre
 ath or urine as they provide information about our health.\n\nThe talk wil
 l describe novel sensing technologies and their applications.
