DESCRIPTION:We give an exposition of the geometric and algebraic setup of 
 knot contact homology. This is a powerful knot invariant due to Ekholm-Etn
 yre-Ng-Sullivan which is based upon the symplectic geometry of cotangent b
 undles\, and defined using pseudoholomorphic curve counts. It is known tha
 t this invariant contains the A-polynomial of a knot and that it distingui
 shes the unknot inside threespace.
