DESCRIPTION:Efficient planning for operation and maintenance of energy ass
 ets in the micro-grid is important to minimize the total cost for energy d
 elivery across the network. A community level micro-grid with multiple ene
 rgy storage nodes and renewable resources is considered\, where energy sto
 rage nodes are purposed for multiple applications. The optimization model\
 , developed for storage sizing and also day-ahead planning will be present
 ed. Also an approximate model for optimal charge and discharge of storage 
 nodes in a near real time basis will be described. Long-term maintenance p
 lanning by considering the network level information will be demonstrated 
 as well. A top-down approach is implemented to optimize the maintenance st
 rategy for assets within the micro-grid to reduce the network ownership co
 st and improve the assets’ availability.\n
